Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy
In short
- Monthly and annual plans renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime in the app, on our cancellation page, or by email. You keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for, and then move to the free plan.
- Your QR codes and links keep redirecting after you cancel. Deleting your account stops them immediately.
- Max and Lifetime include one custom domain. Each extra domain is €1.50 a month, billed monthly on its own subscription (also on Lifetime). Disconnect it and its billing stops at the end of the paid month.
- Payments are generally non-refundable, except in the cases listed in Section 7, including outages over 7 days, if we shut down, and the 14-day consumer withdrawal right.
- If we ever close Trackero, you get 60 days' notice and pro-rata refunds, and Lifetime buyers are protected for 24 months.
This summary is for convenience only. The full text below is what applies.
This policy is part of the Terms of Service of Mihail Hummel ("Trackero", "we"). It explains how paid plans are billed, renewed, changed, cancelled and refunded, and what happens to your plan if the Service is interrupted or discontinued. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms.
1. Plans and billing
| Product | How it is billed | Renews automatically? |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No charge | Not applicable |
| Pro / Max (monthly) | Charged in advance every month from the purchase date | Yes, monthly, until cancelled |
| Pro / Max (annual) | Charged in advance once a year from the purchase date | Yes, yearly, until cancelled (see Section 4.5 for Consumers in Germany) |
| Lifetime | One-time payment | No |
| Top-up pack | One-time payment | No |
| Extra custom domain (Max and Lifetime) | €1.50 per domain per month, charged in advance. All extra domains share one monthly subscription, separate from your plan (Section 13) | Yes, monthly, until you disconnect the domain or cancel |
Prices are in euros and, unless stated otherwise at checkout, include any VAT we are required to charge. Payments are processed by Stripe. The price, billing interval and renewal terms are shown to you before you pay, and you receive an order confirmation by email after each purchase.
2. Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period for the same period length and are charged to your saved payment method at the then-current price, until you cancel. For annual subscriptions we send you a reminder by email before the renewal date, stating the renewal date, the amount and how to cancel. If we increase the price, we tell you at least 30 days in advance (or within any different window required by the law that applies to you), and you can cancel before the new price applies.
3. Upgrades, downgrades and plan switches
- Upgrading (for example Pro to Max, or monthly to annual) takes effect immediately. The prorated difference for the rest of the current period is charged right away.
- Switching to a cheaper plan also takes effect immediately. The prorated unused amount is credited to your billing balance and used for future invoices. It is not paid out in cash, except on termination where the law requires it.
- Buying Lifetime while subscribed cancels your subscription automatically, so you are not charged for it again. Unused subscription time is not refunded unless you ask us within 14 days of the Lifetime purchase, in which case we refund it pro rata.
- Moving to Free means cancelling your subscription (Section 4).
Monthly allowances. Your QR code and link allowance runs on your own monthly cycle, not the calendar month. On the Free plan it resets each month on the day you signed up. When you start a paid plan or buy Lifetime, the allowance resets immediately and from then on renews each month on the day of that purchase, which is also your billing day. Annual plans keep a monthly allowance on that day. Switching between Pro and Max does not reset the allowance; the new plan's limit applies right away. Where a month has no matching day, the reset happens on its last day. Top-up tokens are not affected and roll over (Section 12).
4. How to cancel
4.1 You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason, through any of these channels:
- In the app: Billing → Cancel subscription (or Manage billing → Cancel subscription).
- Without signing in: on our "Cancel your contract here" page.
- By email: to billing@trackero.co from the email address of your Account, stating which plan you want to cancel.
4.2 We confirm every cancellation by email, including the date and time we received it and the date your plan ends. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us.
4.3 Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep all paid features until then, and you are not charged again. You can undo the cancellation before the period ends from the billing portal.
4.4 Plan and extra domains are separate. Your plan and your extra custom domains are two separate contracts. Cancelling one does not cancel the other. On the cancellation page you can choose which one to cancel, or both. You can also stop paying for a single extra domain by disconnecting it (Section 13.3).
4.5 Consumers in Germany. After the first contractual year, annual subscriptions of Consumers resident in Germany continue for an indefinite period instead of renewing for a full year, and can be terminated at any time with one month's notice. We refund prepaid fees for the period after the termination date pro rata.
5. What happens when a paid plan ends
When a subscription ends (because you cancelled, a payment failed, or a plan was withdrawn), your Account automatically moves to the free plan. Your Account and data are not deleted.
| Item | After the paid period ends |
|---|---|
| Existing QR codes and short links | Keep redirecting to their current destination. Printed codes keep working. |
| Editing destinations (dynamic QR) | Locked. Destinations stay as they were last set. Editing is unlocked again if you upgrade. |
| Scan and click analytics | Scans continue to be recorded. Detailed analytics views are locked on the free plan and become visible again if you upgrade. |
| Client dashboards (Client IDs) | Deactivated. Existing dashboard links and Client IDs stop working. Re-activating after an upgrade creates new IDs. |
| Custom QR designs | Not affected. Colours, shapes and logos are available on every plan, including the free plan. |
| Monthly allowances | Free plan limits apply from the next creation. Existing items above the limit are not deleted. |
| Unused top-up tokens | Remain in your Account and can still be used. |
| Custom domains | Links and QR codes already on a connected domain keep working, but you cannot add new ones or connect more domains (Section 5.9 of the Terms). Extra domains stay billed until you disconnect or cancel them. |
| Your data | Stays in your Account. You can export it at any time from Settings. |
6. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically over a period of up to several weeks, and we or Stripe notify you so you can update your payment method in the billing portal. Your paid features stay active while the retries are pending. If the payment still fails, the subscription ends and Section 5 applies. You remain responsible for amounts that were validly due.
7. Refunds
7.1 General rule. Payments are non-refundable, and we do not give partial refunds for unused time within a billing period after you cancel, except in the cases below or where mandatory law requires a refund.
7.2 When you get a refund. We refund you:
- Statutory withdrawal (Consumers): as described in Section 8;
- Billing errors: duplicate charges, charges after a confirmed cancellation, or charges for the wrong amount, refunded in full;
- Extended outages: as described in Section 9;
- Discontinuation: as described in Section 10;
- Material changes or price increases you reject: where the Terms give you the right to terminate because of a change, prepaid fees for the period after termination are refunded pro rata;
- Our material breach: where we materially breach the Terms and do not fix it within 30 days of your written notice, you may terminate and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period;
- Termination without cause by us: prepaid fees for the period after the termination date are refunded pro rata.
7.3 No refund. There is no refund where we suspend or terminate your Account for a serious breach of the Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where you delete your Account, except where mandatory law requires it.
7.4 How refunds are paid. Refunds are paid to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of our decision (for withdrawals: within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal). Banks may take a few more days to show the credit. We do not charge fees for refunds.
8. Right of withdrawal for Consumers
This Section applies only if you are a Consumer (a natural person acting mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession) resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another country that grants an equivalent statutory right. It does not apply to Business Customers.
Withdrawal information
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Mihail Hummel, Tsar Ivan Aleksandar 116, 9700, Shumen, Bulgaria, email: billing@trackero.co) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (for example an email or a letter). The easiest way is to use our withdrawal function: the "Withdraw from contract here" page. You may also use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. If you use the withdrawal function, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your withdrawal on a durable medium (by email) without delay, including its content and the date and time it was submitted.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Immediate start. Paid features are activated immediately after payment. Before you pay, we ask you to expressly request that the Service starts during the withdrawal period and to acknowledge the consequences above. For one-time purchases such as top-up packs that are fully used within the withdrawal period, the right of withdrawal ends once the service has been fully performed, where you have given that request and acknowledgement. In practice, if you withdraw from a subscription, we refund the payment minus the pro-rata amount for the days the paid plan was active. For the Lifetime plan, the proportionate amount is calculated on the basis of the 24-month period described in Section 11.
Model withdrawal form
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)
9. Service interruptions and outages
9.1 Short interruptions, maintenance windows and outages caused by third-party infrastructure can happen with any online service. They do not entitle you to a refund or credit, except as set out below. Your subscription continues and keeps renewing during an interruption.
9.2 Extended outage. If a Paid Plan is completely or substantially unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days for reasons within our control, you may, within 30 days after the Service is restored, choose either (a) a credit or refund for the days of unavailability, calculated pro rata from your plan price, or (b) to cancel with immediate effect and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period. Contact billing@trackero.co to claim it.
9.3 Force majeure. If an outage is caused by events beyond our reasonable control (see Section 16 of the Terms) and lasts more than 30 days, you may cancel with immediate effect and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period.
9.4 For Business Customers, and to the extent permitted by law, this Section 9 sets out your sole and exclusive remedy for unavailability of the Service. Consumers keep their statutory remedies for non-conformity of digital services.
10. If Trackero is discontinued
If we decide to permanently discontinue the Service or a Paid Plan, the following applies, unless we are forced to stop sooner (see 10.5):
- Notice. We notify you by email at least 60 days before the end date. From the notice, no new subscription periods are charged that would extend beyond the end date.
- Continued operation. Until the end date, the Service keeps working, including all redirects, analytics and dashboards, so you have time to replace printed codes and inform Your Clients.
- Data export. You can export all your data until the end date and for 30 days after it, on request.
- Subscription refunds. Prepaid subscription fees for any period after the end date are refunded pro rata.
- Lifetime plans. See Section 11.3.
- Top-ups. Unused top-up tokens bought within the 12 months before the end date are refunded pro rata.
10.5 Shorter notice. If we have to stop sooner because of a legal requirement, an order of a court or authority, the loss of a critical provider, insolvency or force majeure, we give as much notice as is reasonably possible. The refund rules in points 4 to 6 still apply, subject to mandatory insolvency law.
10.6 Change of ownership. If Trackero is sold or merged into another company, your subscription and Lifetime plan transfer to the new operator under these terms. This is not a discontinuation.
11. Lifetime plan
11.1 What "Lifetime" means. The Lifetime plan gives you access to the features of the plan described at the time of purchase (currently equivalent to Max) for as long as Trackero operates the Service, meaning the lifetime of the product. It is not tied to your own lifetime or to any particular number of years, and it does not transfer to other people or Accounts.
11.2 What is included. Monthly usage allowances apply as stated at purchase and reset each month. "All future updates" means improvements to the features included in your plan. It does not include separately priced add-ons (such as extra custom domains, see Section 13) or new products that we offer separately, and it does not oblige us to keep any particular feature forever (see Section 5.5 of the Terms). Fair use applies: the plan is for your own business and Your Clients, not for resale of the Service or automated bulk creation.
11.3 Lifetime protection. If we discontinue the Service within 24 months of your Lifetime purchase, we refund the purchase price pro rata for the remaining months of that 24-month period. After 24 months, the Lifetime plan is treated as fully used, and no refund is due on discontinuation, but you still receive the notice and export rights in Section 10.
11.4 Termination for breach. If we terminate your Account for a serious breach of the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy, the Lifetime plan ends without a refund, except where mandatory law requires one.
12. Top-up packs
Top-up packs add the stated number of extra QR code and link tokens to your Account. Tokens are used only after your monthly plan allowance is exhausted, roll over from month to month, and do not expire while your Account exists. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are forfeited without refund if you delete your Account. Section 10 applies if the Service is discontinued.
13. Extra custom domains
13.1 What is included. The Max and Lifetime plans include one custom domain at no extra cost. Each further domain costs €1.50 per month, including VAT. Custom domains are not available on other plans.
13.2 How extra domains are billed. All your extra domains are billed on one monthly subscription that is separate from your plan. Its quantity is the number of extra domains you have. Your first extra domain is paid on Stripe's checkout page. For each further one, the price for the rest of the current month is charged right away (pro rata) to your saved payment method, and the full price is charged every month after that. The domain's setup only continues once the payment has gone through. This subscription renews every month on its own billing date, even if your plan is billed annually or is Lifetime.
13.3 Disconnecting an extra domain. When you disconnect an extra domain on the Custom domains page, its billing stops at the end of the month you have paid for, and it keeps working until then. Until that date you can still keep it. To stop all extra domains at once, cancel the extra-domains contract through any channel in Section 4. Unused days are not refunded, except as set out in Section 7.
13.4 Disconnecting your included domain. If you disconnect the domain included in your plan while you have extra domains, your oldest extra domain takes its place as the included one, and you pay for one domain less from the next month.
13.5 Failed payments. Section 6 applies. If the payment for your extra domains cannot be collected in the end, the extra domains are paused: their links and QR codes stop working until you pay for them again. The domain included in your plan is not affected. A paused domain stays reserved for your Account until you disconnect it.
13.6 If your plan changes. If your Account moves to a plan without custom domains, Section 5.9 of the Terms applies. Extra domains keep working and stay billed until you disconnect them or cancel the extra-domains contract.
13.7 Withdrawal. Each purchase of an extra domain is a separate contract. If you are a Consumer, Section 8 applies to it.
14. Deleting your Account
Deleting your Account in Settings ends the contract with immediate effect. It cancels any active subscription (including for extra custom domains) immediately, without a refund for the current period, disconnects your custom domains, and permanently deletes your data. All your QR codes and short links stop working immediately, including printed ones. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription instead (Section 4). Your codes then keep working on the free plan.
15. Questions
Billing questions: billing@trackero.co. Please include the email address of your Account. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
